“The Death of the Moth” by Virginia Woolf

In the essay, “The Death of the Moth” by Virginia Wool teach everyone a very important lesson that no one really takes the time to realize. Since the second we are all born, our life is running out until we all die. We are all in this world with a timer in our hands waiting for the timer to come to an end without enjoying the few things that makes life such an amazing gift. We are all so busy with our schedule to go out and just sit by the beach and enjoy the sound of the waves or just the fact that we are sitting now for 5 minutes without being in a hurry.

We are always working, studying, paying for debts, having arguments with family members or random people, making comments about what other people are doing or even trying to have more or be better than other people to realize that the pure environment in which we live is the greatest and most beautiful gift we got.

I know we all got problems but problems should not bring us down into depression and dig a hole in which we will waste days of our life that we won’t get back ever. Most of the people in this world worries too much for something that shouldn’t be given greater importance than our own life. For example, in this essay the author is trying to tell us that when we got a problem we got to get up and move on and not let us stop and waste any perishes time in our life. Life is like a roller coaster in which we should always be on top which means to be happy and enjoy our life than be drowning by our own tears and let life take us apart.

For instance, in the essay the moth is dying and yet the moth is trying to fly away to enjoy life; the moth is not even letting death stop it from what life has to offered while us humans are always wasting useless time on things that are not worth it; therefore, the author is trying to tell us that we should stop worrying and everything and just go out there and do whatever makes us happy and to never give up. Nothing is worth giving up your life no matter how bad life can get. If this meaningless moth can enjoy life better than us human can then we should all realize that there is a huge problem and we should solve it because a moth can only fly but we can do everything no one else can; therefore, we got the whole world in our hands and we are just wasting it away. This essay is really shocking and really opens our eyes to the truth of our generation.
